Sizing
A waist belt is worn over your clothes. So the measurement that matters is taken over your clothes — not over your body.
How to measure
- Put on the jacket, coat or dress you intend to wear the belt with.
- Take a soft tape and place it where the belt will sit — at the base of the ribcage, just above the navel.
- Keep the tape level and comfortable, not tight. Read the number in centimetres.
That number is what you match against the table on each product page. Every product has its own, in centimetres, because the strap and the buckle are different on each one.
If you are between two sizes
Take the larger one. A belt worn over a blazer needs the room that a belt worn in trouser loops does not, and a strap that runs slightly long reads as intentional. A strap that runs short does not fasten.
