How to measure

A waist belt is worn over your clothes. So the measurement that matters is taken over your clothes, not over your body.

  1. Put on the jacket, coat or dress you intend to wear the belt with.
  2. Place a soft tape where the belt will sit: at the base of the ribcage, just above the navel.
  3. Keep the tape level and comfortable, not tight. Read the number in centimetres.

Match that number against the table on this page. Between two sizes, take the longer one.

Over an open blazer or a shirt, on the waist. This is the one chain that holds up against outerwear.
The layers are meant to sit unevenly. Do not straighten them.
