A 1 cm band of coiled metal that springs open and closes back on itself. The clasp is a spray of cast leaves, two branches meeting at the front, and it is the only detail there is. Two lengths, so it sits where you put it instead of wherever it lands.

Over a knit, a shirt or a slip dress. Worn on the natural waist, over the layer, never under it.

How to measure

A waist belt is worn over your clothes. So the measurement that matters is taken over your clothes, not over your body.

natural waist
  1. Put on the jacket, coat or dress you intend to wear the belt with.
  2. Place a soft tape where the belt will sit: at the base of the ribcage, just above the navel.
  3. Keep the tape level and comfortable, not tight. Read the number in centimetres.

Match that number against the table on this page. Between two sizes, take the longer one.

Over a knit or a slip dress. Too fine for outerwear.
On the natural waist, the narrowest point.
The leaves sit at the front, centred. Turning them to the side hides the only detail there is.
