description

Two hooks. No holes to line up.

1.5 cm strap with a cast gold-tone clasp of two interlocking hooks. It marks where the waist is and stops there. It doesn't break the volume of a coat.

For the dress that already fits and still reads unfinished.

size & fit

Measured over your clothes, not against the skin. Put on the layer you plan to wear it with.

Between two sizes, take the longer one.

How to measure

A waist belt is worn over your clothes. So the measurement that matters is taken over your clothes, not over your body.

natural waist
  1. Put on the jacket, coat or dress you intend to wear the belt with.
  2. Place a soft tape where the belt will sit: at the base of the ribcage, just above the navel.
  3. Keep the tape level and comfortable, not tight. Read the number in centimetres.

Match that number against the table on this page. Between two sizes, take the longer one.

how to wear it

On the natural waist, over a dress or a fine knit that already fits.
Best where the fabric can catch on the hooks without bulk. On a coat it disappears.
This one marks the waist. Breaking volume is the anchor’s job.

A black top tucked into wide trousers already has a waist, just no line to mark it. The hook belt closes there, gold catching the light against the dark knit.

how to wear it

The rules are short.

Over the coat, not under it. On the narrowest point, not the hip. Let the tail hang. Contrast with the garment. Four lines, and everything already in the wardrobe changes shape.
